Frequently Asked Questions

Everything agents and sellers ask most about booking, what to expect, and how delivery works.

Booking & Scheduling

How do I book a shoot?
Use the online booking portal linked from any page on the site. You can select your services, date, and property address, then confirm your package. If you have questions before booking, reach out at hello@nuvistamedia.com.
Do I need to be present during the shoot?
You don't have to be there, but access to the property needs to be arranged in advance—a lockbox code, a key with the seller, or someone on site. We'll confirm access details when we schedule.
How should I prepare the property before the shoot?
Declutter countertops, make beds, remove trash bins and personal items from view, and turn on all lights. Our prep guide covers everything in detail and is sent automatically after you book.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens. Reach out as early as possible—we'll work with you to find a new time. Last-minute cancellations the day of a shoot may incur a fee.

Photography

What's included in a standard photography package?
Interior and exterior photography with professional lighting, window balance, and full editing. You receive MLS-ready files within 48 hours. Package size (number of images) scales with property square footage.
How do you handle New Mexico's bright sunlight and high-desert conditions?
We use professional flash equipment and HDR techniques tuned for high-altitude, high-contrast light. Windows are balanced so rooms feel open without losing the view outside—a common challenge in New Mexico's intense sun.
Do you do sky replacements?
Yes, when an overcast or blown-out sky would hurt the exterior shot, we can replace it with a natural-looking sky that fits the scene. We include this when it improves the image.
Do you offer virtual staging?
Yes, virtual staging is available as an add-on. It's useful for vacant homes where furnished rooms help buyers understand the space.
Can you photograph different architectural styles—adobe, contemporary, mid-century?
Yes. We work across New Mexico's full range of styles, from traditional adobe and Pueblo Revival to contemporary Southwestern and modern builds.

Video

What types of video do you produce?
Property walkthroughs (Essential and Cinematic), social media reels (15–60 seconds for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok), and extended Luxury productions for signature listings.
What's the difference between Essential and Cinematic packages?
Essential walkthroughs are efficient and clean—great for everyday listings. Cinematic tours have more deliberate pacing, detail shots, smoother transitions, and optional drone integration. Luxury / Extended adds lifestyle elements and a custom structure suited to high-end properties.
Do you deliver videos in multiple formats?
Yes. Every video order includes platform-specific cuts—horizontal for MLS and YouTube, vertical for Instagram Reels and TikTok—so you're not cropping yourself.
What music do you use in edits?
We use properly licensed music throughout, so your videos play cleanly on MLS, social platforms, and your own site without copyright strikes or muted audio.
Can drone footage be added to a video package?
Yes. Drone footage is available as an add-on and integrates naturally into walkthroughs and cinematic tours. We're FAA Part 107 licensed for all aerial work.

Drone

Are you FAA licensed for drone flights?
Yes, we hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate and conduct all flights in compliance with federal regulations and local airspace requirements.
Can you fly near airports or in restricted airspace?
We check airspace authorization for every flight using FAA tools. Some areas near Albuquerque International Sunport and smaller regional airports require LAANC authorization, which we handle before the shoot.
What happens if weather conditions aren't suitable on shoot day?
We monitor conditions and will reschedule if wind, rain, or low visibility would compromise safety or image quality. We coordinate a new time with you at no extra charge.
Do you capture both aerial photos and video from drone flights?
Yes—we can deliver aerial stills, aerial video, or both from the same flight. Stills follow the 48-hour photo timeline; edited aerial video follows the 4 business day video timeline.
Can drone aerials showcase mountain views and lot context?
That's one of the strongest uses. New Mexico's geography—the Sandias and Manzanos in Albuquerque, the Sangre de Cristos in Santa Fe—gives aerial shots strong natural backdrops that ground-level photos can't replicate.

Matterport & Floor Plans

What is a Matterport 3D tour?
Matterport creates an interactive 3D model of the home that buyers can navigate online—room by room in walkthrough mode, or from a bird's-eye 'dollhouse' view. It includes measurement tools and keeps serious buyers engaged longer with the listing.
Can Matterport be added to any photography or video package?
Yes. We capture Matterport at the same appointment as your photo or video shoot so there's no extra scheduling. It's bundled as an add-on when you book.
What are floor plans used for?
Floor plans help buyers understand layout, flow, and square footage before a tour—reducing wasted showings and helping serious buyers self-qualify. They're formatted for MLS, print marketing, and digital use.
How long does Matterport capture take on site?
Capture time depends on home size—roughly 30–60 minutes for a typical property. We factor it into shoot scheduling so it doesn't extend your overall session unnecessarily.

Delivery & File Format

How quickly will I receive my photos?
Standard photography packages are delivered within 48 hours of the shoot. Larger properties or packages with multiple add-ons may take slightly longer—we confirm the timeline when you book.
How quickly will I receive my video?
Edited video is delivered within 4 business days. Paired photography from the same shoot still follows the 48-hour photo timeline.
How are deliverables sent?
You'll receive a download link via email. Photos are delivered as high-resolution JPEGs ready for MLS upload and print. Video is delivered as MP4 files in the formats specified for each platform.
Are the photos sized correctly for MLS?
Yes. Images are exported at MLS-compliant resolution and file size. You can upload directly without resizing.

Where do you primarily serve?
We're based in New Mexico and primarily serve Albuquerque and Santa Fe. Both markets have dedicated pages with market-specific information.
Do you serve Rio Rancho and the greater Albuquerque metro?
